You may have heard about this from a few years ago, but I don't care. I'm not sure what rock I was sleeping under, but I COMPLETELY missed this story a few years ago... So I'm pretending like it's brand new. Deal with it!
In the 1928 movie with Charlie Chaplin, "The Circus," a woman in the background appears to be walking and talking on a cell phone. A lot of people have said that this may be proof of time travel. However, as many more cynical people have brought up, even if you were able to time travel back to 1928 with your cell phone.... What kind of reception would you get? I'm thinking none, because the first cell phone towers wouldn't be built for the next 60 years or so.
Oh well, maybe it's some future technology that we don't know about and can't explain.... or maybe it's some crazy old woman fiddling with some kind of hearing device. I don't know, but it's fun to think about the possibilities.
