I just heard that one of the coolest things I never knew about is going away. "Politwoops" logs all deleted Tweets by US politicians, and includes screenshots of the links in their tweets.

How have I not heard about this sooner?! I would have been checking this every day. Evidently, Twitter shut down the operation by revoking their access to their API, which allows them to log this data.

Politicians generally go out of their way to hide the fact that they are human, so anything that shows us a little more about whom they really are can only be a good thing. Granted, I'm sure an honest mistake could be misconstrued and taken out of context, but who cares?

This is gold, Jerry, gold!!!!

If you visit the site, the last update was from May 15th, so their access must have been revoked around that time.

This would have been an amazing resource during the presidential elections next year... I guess we'll just have to fantasize about what might have been....

The only thing I would have liked to see added, would have been a "best of" tab, so that I don't have to sort through all of the boring ones with minor grammar errors. Although this one was a good fuck up. What are nurses again? Better attach two screenshots with the definition so people know of whom I speak.

...And this one is just an unfortunate use of his own name.

I think I'll pass on joining "TEAM CRAPO." I was a member after eating Taco Bell the other day.

Well, this was fun while it lasted. Hopefully it will come back some way, some how. Twitter, bring this back to life!
