The first Sunday of football is on the books! For a minute it seemed like the season would never start again. I was getting used to reading "deflategate" and "they should have run the ball" in the headlines every day. I don't know how to cope with the sport actually being played again. It was a drastic shock to the system this morning.
I wasn't the only one who noticed, either. Social media was blowing up all day with football tweets.
Me too.I am so happy it's football season! #FOOTBALLSUNDAY 🏈🏈🏈— Sierra Barnwell (@Sierra2231) September 14, 2015

Always."Two minutes remaining in the game, which of course means forty minutes until the game is over." #football— James Adomian (@JAdomian) September 14, 2015
Commercials are a great reminder that all #NFL players are funny— Jimmy Kimmel (@jimmykimmel) September 13, 2015
Finally, we don't know what this world would come to without football. We'd all just be wandering aimlessly muttering jibberish and sobbing because the ratio of cereal to milk was off this morning.Rest assured that the #NFL was founded only so you would have something to watch between Draft Kings commercials. #draftkings— Robin Miller (@NotRobinMiller) September 14, 2015
Life without #NFL football is pointless. 😁— Shomari Stone (@shomaristone) September 13, 2015
