At the end of last month I crossed the 1k subscriber mark on my channel and two days later YouTube notified me that I was accepted into the Partner Program. I had no idea that it would happen so quickly. From what I had heard, getting your channel monetized could take a month or more.

In this video I talk about what I went through on my journey from 0 to 1000 subscribers. There are a lot of YouTube channels that exclusively make content about being a YouTuber and building a channel. The problem is that their perspective is skewed because their experience is that of someone creating a channel about creating a channel.

What if you're starting a channel from scratch about something else? It's hard to get information about what that experience is like, so that's what I address in this video.

I didn't start this channel with any videos related to creating YouTube content. I tried out a variety of different types of videos and share my experience here.

What does it take to get subscribers and watch time so that you can get your channel monetized?
